Our Future Generation Empowerment Center was established to provide youth and families with the support, guidance, and safe environments necessary for growth, healing, and thriving. We are committed to helping individuals build confidence, develop life skills, and step into a brighter future.

Our Story
Our Future Generation was founded from a deep passion for helping others overcome challenges and create a better path forward.
We understand that many youth face obstacles such as lack of support, instability, and limited access to resources. Through both personal experience and a heart for service, this organization was created to be a source of guidance, structure, and hope.
What started as a vision to help others has grown into a mission to create real change—through workshops, mentorship, and the development of a transitional housing program.
Tawanda Jones, Founder of Our Future Generation Empowerment Center
Tawanda Jones knows firsthand what it means to navigate life at a young age. At just 15 years old, she faced the reality of having to survive and figure things out on her own. Through many challenging moments, it was the support of her community that helped guide and prepare her for the road ahead into adulthood.
Because of that experience, Tawanda discovered her purpose—to help prepare the next generation just as others once helped prepare her.
She has taken the lessons, support, and life experiences she received and turned them into a mission: to create a space where youth can grow, feel supported, and build a better future. Through Our Future Generation, she is bringing those resources together in one place to empower young people not only in her community, but as far as her reach can extend.
Tawanda believes that no matter what life looks like, it only takes one person to show up, show love, and make a difference. She has chosen to be that person—and through this organization, she is creating opportunities for others to do the same.
As a mother and mentor, she understands that her gifts are not just for her—they are meant to be shared. She is committed to helping youth move forward with confidence and courage, knowing they have a bright future ahead if they choose to believe it.
In addition to being the founder of Our Future Generation, Tawanda is a self-published author and a certified personal development life coach, dedicated to making a lasting impact in the lives of others.
